As the Art Director, Brand Designer, and Web Designer for useless, my role was to completely redesign the brand experience with a focus on sustainability, minimalism, and transparency—the core values of the brand. I started by redefining the visual identity, refining the logo for better legibility on the web while maintaining a clean, minimalist approach. The website design centered around a moodboard-style layout, with carefully curated colors, images, and titles that created a cohesive and immersive experience. I paired a minimalist, thin sans serif font with a modern humanistic sans serif to introduce a touch of modernity while preserving simplicity.
The thin lines used throughout the website were intentional, giving the layout a balanced and structured feel, with each element carefully placed for a calming, organized effect. One feature I’m particularly proud of is the homepage slider, designed not only to captivate but also to inform users about the brand’s story and values. Overall, my aim was to create a digital space that feels both engaging and reflective of useless’s ethos, allowing Signe Hansen’s beautiful content to shine.
